KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak launched a national e-bulletin called e-Rakyat to reach out to all Malaysians.

He said e-Rakyat will share information about Barisan Nasional’s projects, activities and events.

“We fulfil our promises to the rakyat, and we will share what we have done on the e-bulletin to show what we have delivered,” he said at the launch at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) on Wednesday.

“We will be more connected with the people through e-Rakyat,” he added.

e-Rakyat will be available on Barisan’s news portal www.theRakyat.com and all social media platforms.

“It is easy to read, anywhere and anytime and it is for the convenience of the rakyat,” Najib said.

The bulletin is available in six languages – English, Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, Kadazan and Iban – to reflect the “inclusiveness of Barisan Nasional.

e-Rakyat is eight pages long and will start off being published twice a month.

Speaking about Barisan’s news portal the Rakyat, Najib said that visitors will not only have access to e-Rakyat, they will also be able to enjoy current news, videos and infographics.

“In one click, you can get all the information you need,” he said, adding that they will convey the facts rather than “half-truths”.

Present at the launch were Barisan deputy chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and e-Rakyat director Shamsulbahrin Ludin.
